Feed for Health Final Conference 19th- 20th February 2013
'Healthy Food from Healthy Animals'
Location: Sala Napoleonica di Via Sant’Antonio 12, Milano Italy

It is our pleasure to invite you to join us in Milan, Italy 19-20 February 2013 for our 4th and final Feed for Health Conference, that will be organised by the Department of Health, Animal Science and Food Safety, from the University of Milan. The conference will be focused on the relationships between animal feed, animal health and product quality, and considers this important topic from the perspective of future global requirements for food security.

Carefully selected keynote speakers will introduce the food-related challenges that face society. Can we reconcile rapidly increasing global demand for animal-derived foods with diminishing bioresource availability? Can we identify novel sources of high quality protein? Can we reduce wastage in the food chain? Healthy animals produce better quality food more efficiently and sustainably.

The Working Group sessions will focus on animal health and its consequences for product quality from the perspectives of feed quality (WG1), feed safety (WG2), feed supply (WG3) and consumer requirements (WG4). Within each session there will be contributions from both invited speakers and Feed for Health members. Early-stage researchers are especially welcome and encouraged to participate.
