Nastasia Belc, PhD, food technologist is director general of the Institute of Food Bioresources. She was project coordinator of several national and international projects. Her expertise is in food intolerance, food nutrition and food biotechnology. She is author or co-author for 12 books and syntheses, 38 scientific articles and 47 papers presented in different international scientific events. Between 1984 and 1990 she was working as coordinator of “milling and baking production” within Milling and Baking General Enterprise. Since 1990 she started her activity in research and was appointed as Head of Departments for milling and baking, nutrition, packaging, refrigeration within the (formerly) Institute for Food Research. After 2000 she was appointed as director general of newly born Institute of Food Bioresources.
Nastasia Belc was also appointed as an expert in the Programme Committee of FP 5, FP 6 and FP 7. She is member of Romanian Agriculture Academy, National Consultative Council of Ministry of Research, National delegate to ICC (International Association of Cereal Science and Technology-Vienna) member of Foodforce group and Chair of operational committee of Romanian “Food for Life” Technology Platform. She is also associated professor to University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine.
