Metabolism of cattle expert | Focus on energy balance and lipid metabolism | | | Katri Ling is engaged in research and education in animal science. Principle interests include the metabolism of cattle, in particular energy balance, lipid mobilisation and their relation to fertility; selenium status of dairy cows and its implications to human selenium status, also possibilities to improve them. Particularly in relation to the COST action she is involved in the project on creating strategies to produce compositionally designed (especially healthy) milk and dairy products. She has refereed papers for the Journal of Dairy Research and Acta Veterinaria Scandinavica.
